Lawrence "Larry" Jubie was born June 10, 1947 in Snohomish, Washington. He served in the Washington Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972. He began a career in banking while attending night school at Everett Community College. He retired from City Bank in Lynnwood, Washington in 1993 as a Senior Vice President.
Larry and his wife Linda were married on July 30, 1983 and have two sons. Joey graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Larry graduated from the same University in June, 2010 with degrees in Psychology and Human Services and has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University.
In January 1995, Larry joined the Marysville Rotary Club and has served on numerous committees and Board positions. He served as President during the 2001-02 Rotary year, was appointed an Assistant Governor in February 2005, Chair of the District Conference in Whistler BC in 2006 and served as the District Governor for the 2009-10 Rotary year. He served three years as an Asst. Rotary Coordinator for Zone 24 W.
He is a Paul Harris Fellow, a Major Donor of the Rotary Foundation, an Arch Klumph Society member, a Charter member of the Bequest Society and the recipient of the Four Avenues of Service award. He has also served as the District Representative for the 2013 and the 2016 Council on Legislation. He began serving as the District Rotary Foundation Chair in 2014.
He has donated thousands of hours of community service in the areas which he has lived. He has served on numerous committees for the City of Marysville, the City of Everett and the Marysville School District. In addition, he has served on the Board of the Marysville YMCA, was a trustee of the Snohomish County YMCA. T
The Marysville Y dedicated its Youth Development Center to the Harv and Larry Jubie families for their continuous support of the Y mission and greater community. He was the Treasurer and Chair of the Investment Committee of the Providence General Foundation and currently serves as its Vice-Chair. He also serves on an advisory committee for the Marysville Boys and Girls Club.

He completed his fifteenth trip to Guatemala in March 2015. In conjunction with the Marysville Rotary Club and the Hands for Peacemaking Foundation, he has traveled to remote mountain villages to build schools for Mayan Indians. We have built 20 schools so far. It is common for these villages to have no electricity or running water.
In April 2006, he attended a Wheelchair Foundation distribution in Mexicali, Mexico. In October 2010, he returned from a trip to Ethiopia where he helped distribute Polio vaccine to young children and distribute wheelchairs to the handicapped.
