The U.S. Club Program provides U.S. clubs and districts with general liability insurance and directors & officers/employment practices liability insurance, subject to policy terms and conditions:
- General liability insurance protects clubs, districts, and other insureds for their liability arising out of bodily injury or property damage to a third party (e.g., an attendee at a club or district event slips, trips, and falls).
- Directors & officers liability insurance provides coverage for claims made against club members and club and district officers for liability arising out of the performance of their duties.
- Employment practices liability insurance provides coverage for claims arising out of club or district employment practices.
The Hylant Group is available to answer your club or district's insurance questions and provide endorsements and other insurance documents:

Additional Insured Endorsements:
If your club or district is required to provide an additional insured endorsement to a third party (e.g., event venue, municipality), your club or district must contact the Hylant Group (rotary@hylant.com) and provide the following information in order to receive the additional insured endorsement:
- A copy of the certificate of insurance you completed (the certificate of insurance is available on the U.S. Rotary Insurance Portal).
- A complete copy of the written contract or permit you have completed or are in process of completing with the third party. The contract or permit must include a section on insurance requirements and explicitly state that you are required to provide an additional insured endorsement.
- The third party's name as they require it to be listed as well as their address.
- The complete name of your U.S. club or district.
- The name, date(s), description, and location of the event.
Loss Prevention Strategies:
In advance of planning club or district events, please review the loss prevention strategies posted in the Document Library on the U.S. Rotary Insurance Portal. Many topics are covered, from athletic events to youth activities. New this year are resources from the Hylant Group covering topics like driver safety and heat illness prevention.
