Isabelle was born in Vancouver, BC and raised on the Sunshine Coast of BC. She holds a Master’s of Leadership degree through Royal Roads University. In 1988 she joined Rotary International and was among the first women to be inducted into the Canadian arm of the organization in 1989. She currently serves as an Assistant Governor for Area E Rotary District 5050 and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Surrey. Guided by the principles of honesty, integrity, goodwill, understanding, and service to others she continues her passion of service to the community by embracing active participation in Rotary and other organizations, such as the BC Cultural Diversity Association.

Isabelle has also volunteered on many community boards including:

• Surrey Memorial Hospital foundation,
• Bell Performing Arts Centre,
• TD Friends of the Environment
• Women of Options
• Surrey Board of Trade

With appreciation and humility, she continues to be a fierce advocate of humanitarian projects and derives great satisfaction modelling the way and inspiring others in the community to join forces to improve the lives of those in need.

Isabelle supports the local and international community through meaningful volunteer projects including sustainable housing initiatives that help promote individual, family and community resiliency. She believes that building resiliency is best achieved through addressing vital issues such as housing insecurity, food insecurity, and access to engaging learning opportunities that embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and peace.

Isabelle believes that the work that is possible through the vast Rotary network is vital to deliver meaningful impact to the lives of those in need while building resiliency and learning opportunities to those volunteering in their communities.
