District 5050 Rotarians and guests assembled at the White Rock BC Community Centre to install the District 5050 leadership team for 2022-2023, including District Governor Raj Rajagopal. Rotarian Peter Tam’s trio provided music while guests assembled. The trio also accompanied the national anthems of the United States and Canada and provided dance music after the formal installation.
Following a catered buffet dinner, the master of ceremonies, PDG Bill Robson introduced special guests and Past District Governors who were present. Special guests included Rotary Foundation Trustee, Dean Rohrs and husband Rhino. Dean did the honor of installing our new District Governor, the Assistant Governors, officers, and directors for 2022-2023.
Immediate Past District Governor, Bev Harrington, assisted by District Awards Chair Dave Duskin, gave out the “Best in the District” Club Awards as well as individual awards—see separate story. IPDG Bev also recognized those who served in leadership roles during her year and reviewed a few highlights of the year.
