Join us on Saturday, November 7 for the annual Rotary District 5050 Foundation Dinner. Rotarians in our District are among the most generous supporters of The Rotary Foundation and leaders in changing the lives of individuals and communities at home and around the world.
We have several special guests that will be joining us, including Liliana Boulam, the WHO's Poliovirus Containment Lead; and Vicki Puliz, a current Trustee of The Rotary Foundation; along with Dean Rohrs, our District Foundation Chair and past Rotary International Vice President.
We will also be unveiling a Rotary Peace Pole by Rotary Peace Scholar, Alison McLean, enjoy music from the Semiahmoo High Jazz Band.

Miss Vicky is a rare 1931 Ford Model A Victoria that completed the grueling 10,000-mile Peking-to-Paris Endurance Motor Challenge in 2019 and the Alaska-to-Mexico Marathon in 2023. Driven by polio warrior and retired ophthalmologist Dr. Lee Harman, alongside fellow Rotarian Winston Conyers, Miss Vicky tours various Rotary districts to raise awareness and donations. Through matching grants—including contributions multiplied through partnerships like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—the Miss Vicky Challenge has helped generate over $1.37 million USD for global polio eradication.
